IPP Logipal unveils its new PalletBanking service
European pallet pooling specialist IPP Logipal has unveiled a new product to complement its existing pallet rental solution. The service, called PalletBanking, is aimed at users that need to ship products on White Euro pallets.
PalletBanking supplies pallets wherever they are needed and takes them back when no longer required. It is a simple system, designed to deliver great value for users of White Euro pallets that ship products across borders and are not able to easily operate a Euro exchange system. It also allows customers to flex their pallet usage without tying further investment up in pallets.
IPP Logipal’s Erik Faber outlines the background and benefits of the service: “PalletBanking” originated in Germany but we quickly saw how the system adds real value for customers across Europe. The system works just like a bank account, but for White Euro pallets.
“Customers create an account, withdraw pallets when and where needed, then can deposit them back into their account at the point they no longer need them.
“One of the key benefits of PalletBanking is that it removes the need to return exchange pallets back over long distances, which provides cost saving and improves utilisation of transport fleets.”
PalletBanking also offers a service for Düsseldorfer pallets.
